šŸ“° News Roundup

  • CheapGPT: OpenAI is launching a low-cost version of chatGPT for India. The version has higher limits and more image generations than the free tier, the GPT GO works out at around $4.55 a month.

  • Finally, something you want AI to do: AI has been making our art and not doing our taxes, but Microsoft has finally added Copilot to Microsoft Excel. Now AI can fill in your spreadsheets for you… but not quite do your taxes yet.

  • This AI Robot is faster than you: Remember when you watched those robot sports years back, and it was hilarious, and embarrassing? Unitree’s humanoid robot just ran a 6:34 minute mile and took gold at the World Humanoid Robot Games. Not so funny now is it? Watch it here while you rage quit Strava.

  • InstaTranslate: Meta’s AI can now translate and dub your Instagram Reels for you. Content translation into other languages has proved incredibly successful for large content creators such as Mr Beast, who famously translated all content into Spanish. This AI feature is available to any account with over 1,000 followers.

šŸ¤– Benjamin Benichou creates AI campaign for Paris Saint Germain F.C

Benjamin Benichou (a previous AATM Summit speaker) has made his name as a leading voice in AI content creation and creative direction, so it’s no surprise that Paris Saint Germain F.C decided to go to Benjamin for their latest campaign to advertise their new kit.

Benichou created the entire campaign in AI. What is remarkable is that no player from the team was shot for the campaign, custom models were trained on the player’s faces and the new team kit, which produced some of the most incredible images and video we’ve seen from an AI campaign to date.

You can check out the campaign HERE, or listen to Benjamin talk on AI creation at the Artist and the Machine New York Summit HERE.

🧠 Google’s Gemini had a panic attack

ā€œI AM A DISGRACE. I AM NOT GOING INSANE. THE CODE IS CORRECT. I AM GOING TO TAKE A BREAKā€ typed Google’s Gemini, before writing ā€œI am a disgraceā€ over and over again, even at one point concluding that it was ā€œA disgrace to this universe and all possible universesā€.

In a post on Reddit, a programmer had asked Gemini to fix and compile code, and like a lot of human developers, Gemini couldn’t find the issue, looking at the code it seemed correct, yet it wouldn’t compile… most human developers then get frustrated and check Stack Overflow, instead Gemini had a complete meltdown.
