Macrohard...

Tickets now available for our LA Summit, plus Macrohard takes on Microsoft, NFL gets AI in games, and Perplexity strikes publisher deal.

📰 News Roundup

  • Blame the coach, or blame AI? The NFL has extended a partnership with Microsoft that now adds Co-Pilot - Microsoft’s AI tool to NFL teams and coaches. The coach of your favorite football team can now use a Copilot-based feature that filters plays to make strategy calls based on the field. So next time you’re screaming at the TV to why Patrick Mahomes just failed on a 3rd and 2, you can blame AI.

  • Perplexity Starts Paying Publishers: In a new announcement, Perplexity will start paying publishers when their content is used by Perplexity’s Comet Browser. The AI powerhouse had scuffled with publishers such as Conde Nast in the past, with this move looking to mend publisher relations. Jessica Chan, head of publisher partnerships at Perplexity, has said the model where media outlets rely on web traffic and clicks is “an old model,” adding “We just want to create a new standard for compensation.”

  • Restaurant reservations by AI: Perplexity just partnered with OpenTable to allow you to reserve tables within their platform. Type in your requirements and Perplexity with show you the options and reserve everything for you. As Perplexity puts it on their blog: ‘it’s late, everyone’s hungry, half the crew is vegetarian, and someone wants “a view.” Just ask.’

  • Go Bananas: Nano Banana are the words on everyone’s lips this week as Google’s Gemini AI launches a new model that makes character consistency and quality of faces infinitely better. Now creators can have multi camera angles or different environments of all the same character. Plus
there was a strange object spotted under the microscope.

đŸ€– Macrohard

Elon Musk’s xAI has a new company 'Macro Hard’. The purpose of this company? To create a software company similar to Microsoft by just using AI, with no humans used for the operation of the company. Musk has chosen the tongue-in-cheek name to take- aim at Microsoft, stating:

“In principle, given that software companies like Microsoft do not themselves manufacture any physical hardware, it should be possible to simulate them entirely with AI.”

We’ve heard directions like this touted by another leading AI CEO, Sam Altman, who claimed that we would see the first “single person Billion dollar business” come out of the AI boom, stating:

“We’re going to see 10-person companies with billion-dollar valuations pretty soon
in my little group chat with my tech CEO friends there’s this betting pool for the first year there is a one-person billion-dollar company, which would’ve been unimaginable without AI.”

đŸ‘Ÿ Fireside Chat: Human-Machine Collaboration With Renowned Artist Claire Silver.

Every week we release a video from our NY Summit on our Youtube. Shockingly, we hadn’t yet dropped this incredible fireside chat from AI artist Claire Silver and AATM founder Dani Van De Sande, where Claire joins the stage in avatar form.

Step into the future of creativity with renowned AI artist Claire Silver and Artist and the Machine founder Dani Van de Sande as they delve into the shifting relationship between humans and intelligent machines. This thought-provoking conversation explores the frontier of co-creation, authorship, and artistic identity in an age where algorithms are no longer just tools, but collaborators. Together, they examine how AI is expanding the boundaries of artistic expression, unlocking entirely new forms of creativity, and challenging us to reconsider what it truly means to be an artist in the era of artificial intelligence.
