Bloomberg Media is Back for LA

Official Media Partner of the LA Summit, plus a new look built for humans and machines

Theme

Generative abundance was supposed to devalue everything it touched. Instead, it's repricing one asset upward: trust. When anything can be rendered, the question shifts from "does this look real?" to "who is behind it?" and the institutions that repeatedly show up in the answers are becoming the most valuable brands in media. NASA's is, by design, a brand built on truth. Bloomberg's entire business is verification at speed. These institutions aren't treating trust as a legacy asset to protect, but a flywheel for growth.

Signal

Trust doesn't scale by accident, it's engineered, and the brand book is the dense source material where it all stems from. A generative model repeats the patterns it sees most clearly, which means the difference between a brand that AI extends and a brand that AI dilutes is whether its identity has been encoded legibly.

That's why machine-readable brand guidelines are becoming non-negotiable. The brand book's audience is no longer just designers, it's every system that will ever generate in the brand's name. We've spent the past months doing this work on ourselves, and this week you'll see the result – our new look rolls out across all Artist and the Machine channels.

Summit

Bloomberg Media returns as Official Media Partner of the Artist and the Machine Summit in Los Angeles this December. In New York, Bloomberg's Christina Ruffini joined NASA's David Rager on stage to discuss much of the above, while Max Chafkin sat down with Matt Zien for a conversation on the forces reshaping creative work, technology, and slop. Bloomberg will return to the program in LA, with Summit sessions to be revealed soon.

Pulse

  • A League Hands Its Brand to the Machines: Adobe becomes the NHL's official creative, marketing, and AI partner. AI-generated branded content across every channel, and fan creation tools to follow.

  • Housefishing Season: Europe now has a word for AI-polished listing photos that flatter the apartment "housefishing" and Euronews asks whether the AI Act's disclosure rules can rein it in.

  • The IP House Becomes an AI House: Korea's Topco Media rebranded as Ankey AX, restructuring its webtoon IP business around AI. Another catalog owner deciding its archive is infrastructure, not inventory.
