Beyond Imagination: Lovable Co-Creates with Artists Shantell Martin, & Moral Turgeman
What happens when two visionary artists collaborate with a barrier-breaking vibecoding platform?
BEYOND IMAGINATION: LOVABLE X ARTIST AND THE MACHINE
Lovable is breaking down the barriers between creativity and software development. The Stockholm-based company’s vibe coding platform makes it possible for people to build sophisticated applications, without a single line of code, using everyday English. For this special session, artists Shantell Martin and Moral Turgeman, will show how they’ve been using Lovable to enhance each of their own physically-oriented artistic practices, extend their artist hand, and solve real problems.

Shantell Martin is an internationally recognized artist whose work is notable for its bold lines and disciplined whimsicality. Her creative journey has taken her from the underground club scene in Tokyo to collaborations with the New York City Ballet, and Kendrick Lamar. Over the course of her career, Martin has worked to democratize both the practice and appreciation of art. In an interview with The New York Times, she described her fondness for drawing in front of live audiences: “In my past life, for many years I was a V.J. — a visual jockey... I would do live drawing, digital or analog visuals to D.J.’s and dancers and musicians. In a way, it was very stream of consciousness: drawing to the beat, zooming in, zooming out and moving around.” Martin has presented her work at Whitney Museum, Denver Art Museum, MoMa, Brooklyn Museum, Miami Basel, and elsewhere. Earlier this year, she was named a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) for her contribution to British arts and charity.
Moral Turgeman is a multidisciplinary artist and the founder of Raise the Moral (RTM), a creative studio with locations in Los Angeles, New York, and Portugal. Her work–which she has described as “medium agnostic”–bridges art, design, and architecture. Through RTM, Turgeman has created large-scale installations as well as smaller-scale works that reimagine the functionality of quotidian objects such as chairs. In an interview with Canvas Rebel, she described RTM’s mission as one devoted to "the need for meaningful, sensory-rich environments and objects that invite reflection, interaction, and personal discovery.”
BEYOND IMAGINATION: LOVABLE x ARTIST AND THE MACHINE will be moderated by Mindaugas Petrutis, Head of Growth at Lovable. In a recent LinkedIn post, he described his surprise at Martin’s and Turgeman’s use of Loveable, “It felt like two worlds that couldn’t meet but what they created has blown my mind.” Petrutis is committed to getting vibe coding into the hands of more artists and musicians to empower them to have better control over their own careers.
