  • Playstation creates AI video game characters. Playstation have created an AI version of Aloy for the game Horizon Forbidden West. Whilst this is currently for ‘internal purposes’ it wont be long until we’re seeing these remarkable AI characters in every day games. The characters work by using OpenAI’s whisper for speech-to-text, and both GPT-4 and Llama 3 for conversations and decision making, using Sony’s own technology for likeness and face animation.

  • AI gets access to the Government: This week the aptly named CamoGPT and GSAi were launched by the US Military, and Department of Government Efficiency, respectively. CamoGPT is a Military AI that scrapes for references of diversity, equity, inclusion and accessibility and sets them up to be removed from the US Military’s training manuals. GSAi is a chatbot launched to 1,500 governmental workers to automate tasks previously completed by humans, created by DOGE.

Justin Hackney, Creative Director from ElevenLabs explains the impact best in this clear and concise explanation.

🛠 Tool of the Week: Flora

Flora Fauna is a generative AI tool that is made for creatives by creatives. Targeted much more towards agencies, brands and creators that need high-quality output more akin to campaigns and editorial photoshoots than its consumer-grade alternatives like Midjourney. The workflow is plug and play nodes, with templates to help you get started, it’s worth checking out, and they’re branding is pretty awesome too.
