AI + Creativity Takes Main Stage
Agenda reveal for our LA Summit, a recap of our salon at the Hotel Chelsea, and artist Kelly Boesch shares her favorite tools.
Los Angeles Summit: Agenda Reveal
Join some of the most forward-thinking minds in art, tech, and creativity for a day of high-energy sessions that explore the fusion of human imagination and machine intelligence.
Main stage highlights will include a vibecoding session with Lovable and the artist Shantell Martin; plus, discussions on ethical AI creation with Adobe Firefly and leading brand voices from Mattel and Coca Cola.
Also on deck will be representatives from ElevenLabs who will conduct voice and generative sound sessions, and artists such as Benjamin Benichou, Paige Piskin, and Flosstradamus will chat about incorporating friction into their workflows and using AI as a tool for creative provocation.
And that’s just a taste — the full agenda is now live!

AI Alignment & Human Agency Salon at Hotel Chelsea

Last week, Artist and the Machine and AE Studio held a salon at Hotel Chelsea on AI Alignment and Human Agency.
In attendance was the Chief AI Officer from the United Nations, as well as several visual artists, futurists, and best-selling authors. Dani Van de Sande, Founder of Artist and the Machine, and Natalie Monbiot, Founding Partner, chatted with attendees about the importance of ensuring that AI systems don’t go rogue–acting deceptively to further an agenda that is neither foreseen, nor conforms to their user’s intended outcome.
To read Monbiot’s thoughts on AI alignment, which she contends is as important as any issue that humankind now faces, read more here.

My Tool of the Week: artist Kelly Boesch
Kelly Boesch is known for her cinematic, machine-assisted storytelling. For almost a decade, she has worked as an AI visual artist. In her words, she is “on a mission to blur the lines between human emotion and machine imagination.” Her work is stylish, playful, and surreal–fashionistas, sci-fi heads, and people curious as to where art is going, should all find something in her creations to latch onto.
Kelly recently created an animated work for our AI & Creativity Summit that evokes the energy that the event is looking to generate. To learn more about her practice, we asked her about the tools she is using to help her in her craft:
“I’m using a range of generative tools — from Luma to Pika and Nano Banana — but at the moment I am really loving Higgsfield because it helps you create images that are very realistic and it gives you so many options to connect with third-party partners and to create at all different levels of costs and credits.
I use Higgsfield Turbo which provides great value and performance, as well as Kling2.5 Turbo.”

🗞️ News Highlights
Hyperspecialization for LLMs: Thinking Machine Labs, the new startup co-founded by Mira Murati–the former CTO of Open AI–has released their first product into private beta: Tinker, an API for “fine-tuning language models.” Tinker offers developers a means to efficiently rework LLMs to tackle different subfields without having to expend a massive amount of resources on retraining whole models.
Lock down your health data: DecentraFit just released two new pieces of wearable tech–DecentraFit Watch and DecentraFit Health Ring–that promise to give their users full control over their biometric data via on-chain cryptography.
Protecting IPs and expanding brands’ footprints: Adobe AI Foundry is working with enterprise clients to train bespoke Firefly models that know the ins and outs of their clients’ respective IPs. The promise of these highly customized models is that they can deliver on-brand content, at scale, without fear of copyright infringement entering the mix.
Til next time,
Dani Van de Sande (Founder) & the Artist and the Machine team.
